Recommended Quality for Documents

The quality for a document can vary according to how it was created. Xtracta can retrieve data from those documents, but to achieve consistent results, these are the best recommendations when uploading documents:

• Colored and Grey scaled Documents:
  Grey scale is usually the most common type of document, as it is lighter. For Xtracta, both types are accepted.

• Black and White:
  For black and white scanned documents, the pixelization will cause problems when retrieving data.

• Resolution:
  300 DPI is the recommended resolution for documents to be uploaded. Xtracta will accept lower-resolution documents, but during extraction, it might cause characters to be misread.

• Placement:
  When placing documents on the scanner, the best position is straight. If the document is not straight, Xtracta is able to correct skew to a certain level.

• Zoom:
  Avoid using the zoom on the scanner. Scan the document as it is for consistency.

• Others:
  Crumpled documents will cause problems when retrieving data. Avoid using documents with borders if possible.
